Brunswick billiards announced today that Anne E. Belec, a Ford Motor Co. executive has joined its board of directors. In an industry plagued by going out of business signs, Brunswick was able to rally it's stock price from a low of $9.33 in mid-July to $12.33 today. Those returns aren't bad by any standard.
Anne Belec is the director of global marketing at Ford and previously worked as president and chief executive of Volvo Cars of North America. Her addition brings the number of Brunswick board members to 11.
Brunswick produces equipment for marine, fitness, bowling and billiards recreation. Shares of the company were up more than 3 percent in afternoon trading.
