Hand Bridge - Billiard Term Definition

Hand Bridge Definition

Hand bridge refers to the formation of the front hand in to a V shape used to rest the cue stick on while executing the shot. There are different variations of the hand bridge, such as the open hand bridge and the closed hand bridge. The closed hand bridge is a hand bridge where the index finger wraps over the cue stick for control. The open hand bridge is where the cue simply rests free form on the hand.
