Welcome to the billiard, pool, and snooker glossary of terms. This is the definition of No Slop as it relates to cue sports. You can also view the entire billiard dictionary.
No slop refers to a billiard game that is played which adheres strictly to the rules of play, and requires that all shots and pockets be called explicitly by the players. No slop billiards requires that players call all of their shots, down to the last detail. If the players sinks their ball in a manner that is in any way different than what was called, that player would lose his or her shot, and their inning would end. No slop pool is generally preferred by players of higher skill levels.
I demand we play no slop here. This is a billiard hall where only the most experienced players practice. To play anything but no slop would offend most of the club's members.
