In cue sports, the term round has several different meanings. In the tournament context, the term round refers to a multi-game division of a complete match. For example, a 30 game match may be sub divided into five rounds of six games. Also in the tournament context, the term round may refer to a level of competition elimination. An example of a round in this context would be quarterfinal round, semifinal round, and final round.
