Ball and pocket is a relaxed form of call shot or no slop. As it's name suggests, the shooting player in a ball and pocket game need only call the target pocket and the target object ball. The ball and pocket call rule only refers to shots that are not obvious to the other players, or shots where the other players request the shooting player clarify the intent of his or her shot.
Ball and pocket is what we play here pal. It is just like gentleman's call, where you only have to call the ball and the pocket.
