Definition of Bank Shot

Bank Shot is a billiards term that is a part of Billiard Technique Terminology.

Any shot where the object ball strikes at least one cushion or rail before being pocketed. A bank shot may also be where the object ball strikes at least one cushion or rail before reaching its intended target, which may not always be a pocket. At times, bank is a term that is misused to refer to kick shots as well. In the UK it is sometimes called a double.
