Welcome to the billiard, pool, and snooker glossary of terms. This is the definition of Centre Pocket as it relates to cue sports. You can also view the entire billiard dictionary.
The centre pocket is one of the two pockets in the middle of the long sides of a pocket billiard tables. As the title suggest, the centre pocket is located exactly half way down the long rail. The centre pocket is generally a more shallow cut than is a corner pocket due to the angles involved.
I'd shoot for the nine ball in the centre pocket.
