The centre string is an imaginary and unmarked line which bisects the centres of the two centre pockets and the centre spot. Where the centre string intersects the long string is known, and defines, the centre spot. The centre string runs horizontally across the exact centre of the billiard table.
The centre string is right in the middle of the table, and is imaginary.
