Cinching a Shot is a billiards term that is a part of Billiard Technique Terminology.

Cinching a shot is to shoot with total focus on only the aim point and on making the ball. Generally, the shooter does not even worry about resulting position. Amateur or beginner pool players usually play entire games of cinching a shot.
