Definition of Closed Bridge

Closed Bridge is a billiards term that is a part of Billiard Technique Terminology.

A specific way of holding the shaft of the cue in your hand whereby the index finger is looped over the shaft of the cue. In a closed bridge, the cue is held in the circle by touching the tips of your index finger and thumb together. This is the same as an open bridge, except that the index finger loops over the cue.
