Welcome to the billiard, pool, and snooker glossary of terms. This is the definition of Corners as it relates to cue sports. You can also view the entire billiard dictionary.
Corners is regional game related to one pocket billiards that has been around for almost 100 years. It is played on special tables with only two pockets which are located at the head rail end of the table. The balls are racked on the foot spot end of the table, which being pocketless, permits banking directly into the corners like on a standard billiard table. Like one pocket, all fifteen balls are used and shot in no particular order, with the first player to reach a count of eight winning.
Lets have a game of corners mate.
