Definition of Double The Rail

Double The Rail is a billiards slang term that is a part of Billiard Technique Terminology.

Double the rail is a phrase that refers to a situation where the cue ball is struck with reverse english at a fairly shallow angle down the rail. When the ball hits the adjacent rail, it rebounds and begins to roll backward back onto the initial rail.
