The foot spot is the spot that is marked on the foot of the table where the balls are racked. It is perfectly centered in the table, and is two diamonds out from the foot rail. The foot spot is found where the long string and the foot string intersect, and is normally marked with a paper spot or sticker. The foot spot is the point on the pool table's bed where the apex ball of a rack or triangle is centered above.
No, you must place the rack down near the foot spot, not at the other end where you have it.
