In snooker, the half century break is a break shot that yields the shooting player anywhere from 50 to 99 points, whereas a century would yield 100 points. In order to score a half century, the shooting player would have to pot at least 12 consecutive balls.
Well, he was going for the century, but only scored 66 points, so he only got a half century.
