A scoring method that evens the chances between players of varying skill levels. In billiards and other cue sports, a handicap works on a similar concept to a handicap in other competitive sports. If you are a player of a lower skill, you may be given a handicap so that you are playing with equal chances of winning. An example is that in a race to ten, you may automatically start at 3 wins and your better opponent may start a 0 wins. The APA and the BCA both have specific methods and rules for handicap assessment.
You play in the APA? What is your handicap?
