Hanging in the pocket describes an object ball that lies immediately in front of the pocket of a billiard table. A ball that is hanging in the pocket is considered a very easy billiard shot which is impossible to miss. For this reason, a ball that is hanging in the pocket would be an obvious choice for an insurance ball. The ball is literally hanging over the edge of a pocket.
The 1 ball is literally hanging in the pocket, so you just need to tap it.
