Definition of Hook

Hook is a billiards slang term that is a part of Billiard Technique Terminology.

A player serves a hook to his or her opponent when they shoots and miss, but by luck or by design, they leaves the opponent no shot whatsoever. This sense of the word hook is the same as the term snooker or snookered. Hook may also refer to the hook rest.

Hook - Usage

Gary is known as Captain Hook. He may miss, but never leaves you with any shot.
