In billiard and other cue sport games, a ladies aid is a denigrating term for a mechanical bridge. This is not a common term, and would not be considered acceptable in most modern billiard establishments due to is negative connotation towards women. It may also be used to poke fun at another male billiard player who cant seem to reach his shot.
