Welcome to the billiard, pool, and snooker glossary of terms. This is the definition of Last as it relates to cue sports. You can also view the entire billiard dictionary.
A handicap where the last X number of balls pocketed legally wins. If I give my opponent last 4, it means the last 4 balls remaining on the billiard table are game balls for the person receiving the handicap. If the person pockets any of those 4 balls after his or her other balls have been pocketed, he or she wins the game.
Joe's giving that guy the last 4.
