Welcome to the billiard, pool, and snooker glossary of terms. This is the definition of Masse as it relates to cue sports. You can also view the entire billiard dictionary.
A masse is a type of billiard shot that exhibits a steep curve of cue ball direction without the help of a rail or other object ball to rebound from. A masse shot can also cause complete ball reversal if applied properly. A masse shot is executed on the cue ball via a sharply raised cue stick.
I love the type of masse shot that brings the ball right back.
