Middle pocket is a term commonly used in the UK and Brittan to refer to either of the pockets in the long side of a pocket billiard table. Each of the middle pocket openings are more shallow that are the openings of the corner pockets.
Where did that ball go on the break shot? I don't know, check the middle pocket.
