Overcutting Definition

Overcutting occurs in billiards when a shot is performed with a cut angle that is too large or thick. Overcutting is known to be the preferred error over undercutting.

Overcutting Usage

He is overcutting the shot, he is going to miss. At least he is not undercutting it.
