In cue sports, the term peas refers to set of peas numbered 1 through 15 and sometimes 16. Peas are used along with a bottle to provide a mode or randomization. This randomization is used for different reasons depending on the game being played. Kelly pool uses peas and a bottle to determine ball assignment in a random manner. As another example, other cue sport game use peas and the bottle to determine order of play.
