Plant Definition

A plant shot is a shot where the cue ball strikes an object ball, which in turn strikes one or more other object balls before hitting it's intended target object ball. Plant is the terminology that is used primarily by the British and in the UK.

Plant Usage

I've got that plant shot over there.

I'm going to plant that 7 ball in the corner pocket off the 5 ball.
