Pro side of the pocket refers to the action of the use of overcutting rather than undercutting a shot because of the way it rebounds if missed. To undercut would likely mean leaving an easy shot for the incoming player, but overcutting would cause it to rebound a way out for a more difficult shot.
He shoots pro side of the pocket, we'd better watch out because he probably has a good deal of skill.
