There are several definitions for the term push as related to cue sports. A push is any shot where the cue ball is frozen to the object ball. The balls remain in contact slightly longer due to friction. Push may also refer to a push out. This is refers to the shot immediately following a break when a player is not required to strike an object ball to play a safety.
How do you play those shots where the object ball is frozen to the cue ball. Oh, just must use a push.
