In a snooker context, a re spotted black is a tie situation after all balls have been potted and the black ball has been re spotted. In a re spotted black situation, the first player to pot the black, wins. The two players or teams toss to see who will perform the shot, which must be taken with cue ball in hand from within the D. From there, a safety battle usually takes place until one of the players commits a crucial error or fluke.
