In one pocket, a removal shot is a shot that clears out a threatening cluster of balls from near your opponent's pocket. You are essentially taking out your opponent's easy shot with a removal shot, as the name suggests.
He pulled a damn removal shot on my 2 ball by the side pocket. That was my damn insurance ball.
