Roll up is a light or gentle cue ball tap that is executed with the intention of getting it in as tight as possible behind another ball so as to create a snooker situation for the incoming player. The roll up is most commonly seen in the game of snooker, and is actually not a legal safety move in many billiard and pool games, where each shot must either yield a pocketed ball, or a ball driven to a cushion after contacting the object ball.
It is snooker we're playing mate, why don't you roll up on the brown and snooker your opponent, since you have no other shot.
