Definition of Skittles

Skittles is a billiards term that is a part of Billiard Accessory Terminology.

Skittles are pins that are used in various billiard games. They stand upright on the pool table, and have various uses depending on the game being played, and that game's specific rules.

Italian and South American skittles generally have a width of 7mm or 0.28 Inches at the round base, and a height of 25mm or 1 inch tall. Although these measurements are the general standard, it should be noted that various games call for larger sized skittles.

Depending on the game being played, different numbers of skittles will be used.
