Slammer is a billiard nickname that is given to someone who has no concept of hitting a ball with finesse. A slammer typically hits the cue ball as hard as they can, on almost every shot, regardless of the type of shot.
I can't believe you are going to play in that pool tournament with the Cue League. Their players are nothing but a bunch of slammers.
