Stripes - Billiard Term Definition

Definition of Stripes

Stripes is a billiards slang term that is a part of Billiard Accessory Terminology.

Stripes refer to the suit of balls numbered 9 through 15. They are called stripes because they have a distinct wide white stripe through the middle of the ball to identify them from the low solids or solid balls numbered 1 through 8. Can be contrasted with solids.
