The billiard term "way" has two definitions in regards to cue sport games. The first use of "way" is a descriptor term for the object balls in the game of Chicago. They are each assigned as having a set monetary value. The way balls are normally the 5, 8, 10, 13 and the 15 ball. The second use for the term "way" in billiards is in games where multiple object balls must be pocketed in succession, in order to score a point, such as in Cribbage or 30 ball. In these games, when the last ball necessary to score has been pocketed, the points given are referred to as a "way."
