I am in the process of "inheriting" a Victor table from my father. He is selling his house, and I am putting it into mine. It is an old table (obviously), and could use new felt and cushions. The cushions are OK, but htye've lost some of their kick over the years. Are there any cushions (like Brunswick) whose cushions might be compatible?

Also, could you recommend felt for me? I'm not sure whether to get standard felt, or one of the more expensive felts?

You can be sure that you are getting a good quality table. There is no shortage of Victor Pool Table Owners out there, but it is too bad they've stopped making them recently. Where are you located?

I would suggest posting a similar question to the other Victor Billiard table owners.

I live in Maine, but the table is in New Jersey. I'd like to have the updated parts before I have the table reassembled. Thanks for the info. I'll post pix after I get the table.

I have a Victor pool table as well. It is a 9' table with the ball returns. It has (3) 1" pieces of slate. The problem is that one of them is very badly cracked. I am looking for either a used piece of slate or a company that will manufacture a replacement. Does anyone know a source for either?

I have contacted several local dealers and after several promises of help, I have gotten none. I even got the number of a manufacturer in Florida that supposedly made replacement slate, but could not get a returned call after several messages. I live in Delaware and am eager to get the table back together.

***DESPERATE FOR INFORMATION***

I'm interested in buying a table from a friend of mine but I wanted to find some information about it first.

First of all, the tally markers on the table say "Victor Billiard Co." on it but the plate on the other end of the table says "Standard Billiard Supply Co. 40 S Howard St. Baltimore, MD 21201"

It looks like an old table but I don't know when it was made or why there would be two different company names on there. From what I know, the Victor Co. was out of Philly. On the underside of the table a few wood pieces have standard written on it. I haven't found any information on the Standard Company or its address.

Can anyone help explain this? Did Victor supply parts for local table makers or something?

Thanks for the help!!!

I've been watching the victor billiard threads for a while now, and this is the first I've heard of mix-match parts. I'd guess that either the owner bought the tally markers as either a replacement or separate accessory.

How much is the guy asking for the table? Is it in good shape?

Well, there's no asking price. It kind of belongs to a group of people, its in a rec room. I want it and they said they'd be willing to part with it and told me to make an offer. I don't think anyone really wants it or uses it so I offered $150. I think they will go for it because they'd rather have a little bit of money than have it take up that much space. It's in ok conditon, there are some loose panels that don't look original and the automatic ball needs work but thats just a matter of bending and reattaching some hangers I think. The slate is true and the cloth needs replacing, the rubber isn't too bad. I attached some photos with what I was talking about from earlier.

I have a 7' "Homestead Junior" pool table mfg'd by Victor Billiards Company, Philadelphia. Its in excellent condition with new bumpers and felt installed in 2002. It includes 4 cue sticks, a bridge, wall cue rack, 2 cue balls, triangle, set of balls, wooden scoring chain, leather tally bottle with most of the tally balls. Any idea what this is worth? We haven't used it for a long time and could use the space for other things.
