How To clean billiards balls covered in chalk stai

Just like my post title insinuates, I'm wonder what is the best solution for cleaning billiards balls covered in chalk stains? Hopefully someone know of a billiard ball cleaner that is a basic household item, because I don't have a ton of disposable income to spend on specialized billiard ball cleaners.

   Two things: go to your super market and get a package of Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. There are two sponges in the box and the cost is about $2.50. They can be used over and over again. I use them to clean my ferrules, and yes, also the cuestick. The other alternative is kitchen soap and warm water and a soft cloth to dry them

   I love magic erasers. I think I've seen the admin's parents use them to get cue chalk marks off the walls in the rec room. I never thought of using them on the cue stick or on the billiard balls.

   Apparently rubbing alcohol does the trick. I'm not sure how abrasive it is though. Apparently you can put a little rubbing alcohol on a cloth and then gently affected cue ball and object balls. It should remove all chalk and scuff marks from the billiard ball set.

   Wiping with a damp cloth will get most of the ****.

   Vinegar will eat the chalk crystals without harming the surface of the balls. Wash with water afterwards.

   Vacuum the felt to keep the intrusion down

   You can polish the surfaces with amy automotive "polish and glase" product and then wipe the polymere away with alcohol.

   also use magic eraser on pool balls, but with rubbing alcohol. It does a much easier job.

   You rinse with warm water and dry if you fear residue being left behind.
