What is a proper pool ball rack? In what order should pool balls be arranged?

Hi George. For the best response to your question, you should go to the forum (by clicking the "Forum" link in the green bar at the top) and leave details. There are lots of experienced members there, and you should have a response very quickly. Also, you should let us know which particular billiard game you are playing. Many of the racking rules can be found in the pool rules section to the right.

We just purchased a one piece wall cue rack (includes hook for ball rack, etc.). My question is, how far from the ground should the bottom of the rack be mounted on the wall?

Kendal, welcome to the forum. I assume that you are asking about the standard wall-mounted pool cue racks that hold the cues upright, with the cue tip at the top. The height is a matter of personal preference. There are several options. Some prefer to align the center of the pool cue rack at exactly the center point on the wall between the celling and the floor. With this option, you get a nice visually centered rack. The other is the measure distance from the floor to the bottom of the rack. For this, it's personal preference, but you don't want it too high. Between 1 and 2 feet is standard. Let us know what you decide to do.
