Draw Back Definition

The action a cue ball takes as the result of applied backspin after striking the target object ball. The backspin is applied by striking the cue ball slightly below the center point. Once it strikes the object ball, its backspin causes it to draw back from the object ball toward it's original location. This billiard technique is used to ensure good cue ball positioning.
