A billiards shot in which the cue ball is struck below center so that it draws back from the object ball after impact. This is accomplished through application of backspin. A draw shot refers to any shot to which draw is applied to the cue ball. Any draw back of the cue ball after striking the object ball should be straight back, if the shot was a true draw shot. There are other terms for shots that draw back at an angle, such as cut shot.
Jimmy had to put a lot of backspin on the cue ball during that draw shot in order to bring it all the way back behind the 6 ball.
Draw it off the head rail only slightly to the right of the middle diamond.
