A duck shot is a shot where the target object ball is directly in front of the pocket as such that it would be impossible to miss the shot if you so much as strike the object ball in some way. Essentially, a duck shot is a sure shot.
They call him dick shot Derek, since the only shot he can make is the duck shot.
