Welcome to the billiard, pool, and snooker glossary of terms. This is the definition of Flat Back Pack as it relates to cue sports. You can also view the entire billiard dictionary.
Flat back pack is a snooker situation that can occur during a frame in which the first line of the remaining reds grouped together where the original pack was, are in a horizontal and straight line. The problem with the full back pack is that when the shooting player is trying to open the pack, they fail to leave a chance. This is because the cue ball sticks to the reds.
I hate flat back pack situations. I always have trouble breaking up the pack.
