Welcome to the billiard, pool, and snooker glossary of terms. This is the definition of House Cue as it relates to cue sports. You can also view the entire billiard dictionary.
A house cue is any cue that is offered by the establishment or the house. A house cue is typically considered low quality, unreliable, and cheap, although some high-end establishments do offer good quality cues to their patrons. It should be noted, however, that if all players are using house cues, then the fact that those cues are of low quality should not give any player a disadvantage, since they all will be using the house cues.
I just hate using the house cue. It is of horrible quality.
