Welcome to the billiard, pool, and snooker glossary of terms. This is the definition of Long Rail as it relates to cue sports. You can also view the entire billiard dictionary.
The long rail refers to either of the two longer rails on a billiard table. The long rail, opposite each other, and perpendicular to the short rail, are ended by corner pockets and bisected in the middle with a center pocket.
All of my balls are lined up on the long rail.
