The term speed refers to progress of one's skills and abilities. The higher the speed of a player, the higher their abilities and skill level. Speed can be used to compare players to one another, or to compare the progress or regression of a single player.
Joe and Fred are both at the same speed and so the match should be even.
The term "speed" is considered to be a slang term related to skill level. The speed definition was entered on 4/13/2006 and was updated on 10/24/2007 9:49:58 AM.
