Welcome to the billiard, pool, and snooker glossary of terms. This is the definition of Wrapping as it relates to cue sports. You can also view the entire billiard dictionary.
The wrapping is part of the pool cue near the butt. It is a covering for the area which the billiard player grips the pool cue. The wrapping normally ranges in quality from cheap nylon wrap to a very expensive Irish linen wrap.
That guy must either be extremely rich, or a really good billiard player. The wrapping on his custom cue is made from the best Irish linen. I wonder if having that type of material for the wrapping helps his game by giving him a better grip? Probably not.
