Best Cue for a New Pool Player

So I recently started to really enjoy playing pool, so i'm wanting to get my own cue stick, but like I said i'm new to the sport and I need some advice as far as buying my first pool cue.

So, what is the best cue for a new pool player?

That my frien is a tough call. There are ove 1100 members on this forum and you could get the same amount of opinions. Are you in a place where you can go try some new cues to get the feel of some? If so I would go that route before doing anything. Also you do not mention how much money you want to spend. That is also a factor.

Do you have any friends who own their own cue? If so begin there. Try out and get the feel of the cues they use. Money will be a big factor. As a beginner, I would not spend a large sum, $200 max. Also I would recommend going with 19 oz.

Pardon me if I'm mistaken here or missing something...like my brain. But umm aren't you the one who wrote in response to the post titled "Help clear up game shot" : "do yourself a favor and stop playing right now because you are too stupid to pick up a cue. in case you aren't trying to be funny though, the answer is as long as the 8 was the first ball hit with the cueball and it went into the pocket he called, why would anything else matter?" 176 posts, expert member #32 Canada. HMMMM There be some strange goings on around here. Not really any of my business and I maybe incorrect. But in the case I am right, I think I would tell you to buy a sportcraft at the local Walmart and shove it right up your ass. =)
