2008 888Snooker Trick Shot Contest

I just found a great trick shot competition contest giveaway on the 888snooker website. I am thinking of having a crack at it myself. All I need to do is have a YouTube video of myself doing the trick shot! The main prize is that you get to go and play a game of Snooker against Ronnie O'Sullivan himself!

Here are the competition details:

  • Virtual Media Services (Gibraltar) Ltd (the promoter) reserves the right to alter, amend or foreclose the promotion without prior notice.
  • Promoter: Virtual Marketing Services (Gibraltar) Limited, 601 - 701 Europort, Gibraltar
  • To enter the trick shot competition you must have performed the trick shot yourself and have filled in the required form to submit your details.
  • Entrants must be 18 years or over and a UK resident. You may be asked at any stage to provide to the promoter or a third party proof of age and/or identity.
  • Each entrant will be allowed to make multiple applications.
  • No purchase necessary for entry. The winners will be judged by a promoter panel on 13th May 2008. No entries will be accepted after midnight on 8th May 2008. The promoter panel's decision is final.
  • By entering the competition entrants confirm that they are over 18 years old and give their consent to receiving information about the promoter and other related Internet sites by email and phone unless they inform the promoter otherwise at a later stage.
  • By entering the competition entrants give their consent for their information to be transferred outside of the European Economic Area.
  • Entrants may request not to be sent the promoter's information/offers by emailing snooker@888.com with the subject heading ‘NO OFFERS'.
  • 888.com staff, their immediate relatives, their agents, or anyone connected with the competition may not enter.
  • No cash alternative will be offered.
  • Entries must be received no later than midnight on 8th May 2008.
  • The winner will be notified by telephone no later than 12th May 2008.
  • First prize includes a day's snooker coaching with Ronnie O'Sullivan, the opportunity to interview Ronnie O'Sullivan for the 888.com website and Eight Magazine. Second prize is a pair of tickets to the finals of the Grand Prix, UK Championships, Masters and World Snooker Championship in the 2008/2009 season. Third prize is a Ronnie O'Sullivan signed cue.
  • The promoter will cover standard fare travel costs only from within the UK.
  • The prizes are non-transferable. When the prize-winner is contacted they must confirm at that time that he/she wishes to claim the prize. If the winner cannot do so or cannot be contacted by the morning of 12th May 2008, an alternative winner will be selected.
  • In the event that for any reason whatsoever any winning entrant does not take an element of a Prize at a time stipulated by the promoter, then such winning entrant shall be deemed to have forfeited his/her claim to such Prize and the promoter shall have no obligation to compensate the winning entrant in any way.
  • By entering the Competition each entrant unreservedly agrees to these terms and conditions that govern the Promotion and the awarding of the Prizes.
  • By entering the Competition each entrant agrees to release, discharge and hold harmless the promoter, its legal representatives, its affiliates, subsidiaries, agencies and their respective officers, directors, employees and agents, from any damages whatsoever, including any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the acceptance of any of the Prizes.
  • It is a condition of entry that the prize-winner and his/her guest agree to be available for, and participate in, any public relations activity arranged by the promoter. Your participation in the Competition will be deemed to be your agreement for the promoter to user your name, likeness or image for promotional purposes without the requirement for any payment to you and you expressly waive any claims relating against the promoter in this regard.
  • It is a condition of entry that the prize-winner and his/her guest agree to adhere to any specified etiquette (be it behavioral or dress) prescribed by the promoter.
  • Entries not submitted in accordance with the rules, illegible, incomplete or altered will be disqualified.
  • Each entrant who correctly submits an entry will be automatically entered into the competition.
  • The promoter's decision is final and legally binding on all entrants and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • Events may occur that render the prize draw itself or the awarding of the prize impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the Promoter and accordingly the Promoter may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the promotion and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to the as a result thereof.
  • The promoter reserves the right to alter these terms and conditions at its sole discretion.
  • The winners name will be disclosed to anyone who writes to the promoter at the address above.
  • These terms and conditions and any matters relating hereto shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with English law and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Royal Courts of Justice, London
