Meucci 21-6 Early Run Pool Cue Info

Info on the Meucci 21-6 Early Run Pool Cue

Main difference from the standard Meucci 21st Century pool cue: The logo style and location.

Initially (as seen in this early run, first-run version) the Meucci logo on the 21-6 pool cue was a water slide decal logo located up on the dark brown cocobolo wood of the butt sleeve as seen in the photos of this cue. Meucci didn't like how this placement of the logo made the cue look cloudy. Because of this, they changed from this placement and type of logo to the one used on the current Meucci 21-6 cues (the condensed, engraved Meucci logo).

This first version of the Meucci 21-6 pool cue was only made for a short time before they changed the logo location and type. (The production dates above are just an approximation).

This has all been confirmed by Julia at Budget Billiards:

Yes, the logo version and position changed over time. Initially Meucci was using a decal... It now is engraved in the white butt plate area.

Meucci initially used water slide decals [on the butt-sleeve on earliest Meucci 21-6 cues that] were shipped to the customers. This is a logo under the lacquer. They discontinued it's use because it made the area look cloudy.

The decal logo is the same that is used on The Pro, UW shafts... It is a water slide decal.

Thanks,
Julia

It is unknown how many of these early, initial 21-6 design cues were produced by Meucci, and exactly how many were shipped (though we DO know that some did ship, as confirmed by Greg at Billiard Warehouse when asked about the photo on their website having this early version of the logo placement:

The picture [of the Meucci 21-6 pool cue] on our site is [of] the first one we ever received from Meucci;

However, we can see from auctions, classifieds, and general activity on the forums, that there are very few out there in the style of this early-run of the 21-6 pool cues. We have yet to see one in the wild, other than those photographed by Meucci.

The innovative design in the cocobolo forearm and bottom of this cue will surely draw attention. There are three white points passing under the band, and three unique diamond shapes passing over the same band in between. The three white points are then set off with a beautiful scrimshaw design. In the center of the band, in between the unique triangles, there are three smaller green mother-of-pearl diamonds surrounded by aluminum. The white Irish linen wrap compliments the white and green inlays in this cue. There is a protective polyurethane finish over the wrap.

You might call the Meucci 2106 pool stick the "Rolls Royce" of Meucci cues. You'll exude style and class when you step up to the table with this masterpiece. Starting with its outward design, the forearm and sleeve are crafted in beautiful cocobolo wood that is decorated with white points, marbled green and silver veneer diamonds and delicate black scrimshaw designs. The lacquered solid white Irish linen wrap complements the designs and provides a comfortable grip for this cue's soft hit.

Speaking of performance, this cue was built with one priority - to allow for more power with less effort. The Black Dot Bullseye shaft is the most consistent, hi-tech, peak performing shaft to provide less cue ball deflection and more consistent shots. In addition, the unique joint and ferrule design allow for maximum performance with minimum effort, and the splice design increases amplification of stroke while diminishing warpage. Meucci hit a home run with this cue.

These are water slide decal logos under the urethane coating. Meucci didn't like the look of this logo placement against the dark wood and in such a tight spot so they now engrave the logo in the white butt-plate.
