I am trying to find out who made this pool cue.

   What happened to the butt cap?

   That's how it was when I bought it but someone told me it's a Karl meyer cue

   I can't say for sure, but it does look like a Karl Mayer cue. He did use that butt sleeve ring pattern.

   I have on Mayer cue. Mine is a bit different from your cue, and not in the Mayer brochure I have.
