Eight and out is a common term in One Pocket billiards that equates to the term run or run out in billiards. Eight and out refers to a single inning run out of all eight balls needed to win a game of one pocket.
It wasn't much of a match between Ross and Jim, since Jim's inning consisted of an eight and out.
